Rosa's first project
Not for me:( but a birthday gift for my husband. I made him this gold brocade vest (lined) using Simplicity 2346. I still have to do the buttons/buttonholes. I blogged about it here.
Hope to stay on my sewing momentum and get some stuff done for me this weekend!
Thanks for looking,
Rosa

very nicely done Rosa, happy sewing!

Thanks Helen! The brocade and lining were kind of a pain (very shreddy) but I'm happy with how it turned out.

Hi Rosa, the vest is really nice. Do you make a lot of clothes for your husband. One of the to do items on my list is to make a suit for my husband. That will be a great learning experience for me. BTW, I like the color choice.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I've made him a few things. Mainly he wants me to make him MMA gear, but all the stretch fabrics are not my friends yet.
DeleteI think men's wear is easier usually because less curves to fit, but you got to get the really nice "tailored" look typically so I'm a bit scared to try a suit. I'd love to see what you make for your husband.
Hi Rosa,
ReplyDeleteWhat a great vest! I love the hombre effect. I hope he loves it...he certainly won't find that anyone else has one like it! Great job!!
Thanks he can't wait to wear it! Too bad I still haven't finished the button holes. Oh well, soon I will!
DeleteHi Rosa,
ReplyDeleteThat vest is dashing. You make me feel a little guilty. I haven't made him a garment in years. You've done a fantastic job.
Thanks Lisa!
