I had a very productive weekend of sewing and finished a few really old projects and a few new ones. I also had the opportunity to pattern test for Jenny of Seamingly Smitten patterns. I tested out this maxi skirt pattern, I sewed it up in an bright apple green, slinky knit. It is very comfortable like a yoga skirt! I recommend this one if you want a nice long skirt for lounging around that is forgiving around the middle:) I don't recommend slinky knits unless you like pulling your hair out. More info on my blog.
This blog hosts a challenge for home sewers who want to commit to sewing their own wardrobe (or certain parts of your wardrobe :-). Our goal is to not purchase RTW clothing from January 1, 2015 thru December 31, 2015. Follow our journey as we share and encourage each other through tips, tutorials, and various challenges. Thanks for dropping by!
Looks very lovely for lounging. I don't like to sew slinky anything...will pop over to your blog to find out why you don't.

ReplyDeleteThanks for the kind comments! @Sarah it was a beast to cut accurately and try to sew. I serged most of it! But it is very comfortable! It actually has a nice drape to it and it not clingy.
