This blog hosts a challenge for home sewers who want to commit to sewing their own wardrobe (or certain parts of your wardrobe :-). Our goal is to not purchase RTW clothing from January 1, 2015 thru December 31, 2015. Follow our journey as we share and encourage each other through tips, tutorials, and various challenges. Thanks for dropping by!
As we draw closer to our official start date, we continue to grow! Welcome Rosa who blogs at Tortilla Designs. It's great to have you with us Rosa, and we look forward to having you share your progress with us.
welcome Rosa! we hope you enjoy this journey with us, they say if I can make a doll dress I can make a dress for me lol but I dunno , it's been 30 years since I've sewn people cloths lol! Helen
Hi Helen! Thanks for the welcome. I kind of feel the same way. I sew a lot for kids, but no fitting issues. I've been taking classes at the New York Fashion Academy and although I have some of the skills I know I am a tough fit (I have an asymmetrical body) and I'm such a perfectionist I don't finish my own projects. But I'm hoping peer pressure will help:) We're in this together. Rosa
