Needed some aztec print in my wardrobe for fall

Couldn't wait to get McCall's 6844 made up

So I searched around to find an aztec print knit.  It's made of a nice pontederoma - one of my favorite fabrics because it's soft and so easy to work with. Here's my rendition of the pattern which I think turned out pretty nice.
Here I've  paired with a black MimiG pencil skirt made last Fall.

I also wanted to make a pencil skirt from the same fabric that I do not plan on wearing with the jacket, but think both pieces make wonderful additions to my Fall Wardrobe.
Aztec print pencil - another one from the MimiG's tutorial.  How easy does it get!
I'll be able to come up with several different combinations using the two pieces separately - which in my book is a winning situation...

  1. Very nice. I particularly love the Aztec in the pencil skirt as it looks so symmetrical and organised - if you know what I mean. Very neat and lovely.

  2. Fabric so makes the garment. I love both pieces! But yeah you're right it would be too much to wear them together...but separately you have so many options to mix and match each piece.
